Open Hearts Day 1

Day 1 of the #kundaliniyogachallenge the very first day - open those haerts!

Lets simple start by learning to tune in with the Adi mantra. A mantra that is always used in kundalini yoga before any meditation or kriya (a complete yoga set).

The Adi mantra connects us to the Golden chain, the inner spark of kundalini that links us to the Masters and saints who have preceded us on this path.
The Adi mantra centers us into the higher self and reminds our lower minds that it is not our ego that will practice kundalini yoga - It's our heart!

The Adi mantra is: Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo. It means I bow to the sublte divine wisdom, the divine teacher within. We chant the mantra in pranam mudra (prayer pose/hands pressed against each other at the heartcenter) 3-5 times or as long as it takes for you to center yourself.

Try to center yourself today with this mantra, it is a meditation in itself. Feel the State of consciousness it opens you up to. Feel the light within you and in others. This light is pure. The more you focus on the light within others, the more you can help them be healthy and happy.

Yogi Bhajan on the Adi mantra: whenever you chant Ong Namo guru Dev Namo, through the grace and blessing of Guru Ram Das, Bhagvati, the creative power of the universe, God, the Ultimate, the Infinite, dwells in you as a yogi, and that is what you teach. Concentrate on the heavens when you chant it. See what a difference it makes.
